Cloud Transitions in Storage

This presentation is prepared for a study I am doing on the role of Cloud in Storage. It will also be presented with Japanese IT-vendors.
Key messages:

• Cloud providers are making aggressive claims in Storage.
• It is not a bad place to start with DR/BC in Cloud.
• If you do not like stacks, because they demand understanding their intricacies, then the Cloud will brings us another one.
• While Cloud providers are not ready for transactional data, clever workload management should deliver economies of scale for tier-2+ and archiving.
